Lizzy Trower - chemical sedimentology

I am currently an Agouron Geobiology Postdoc at Caltech, where I’m using experiments and modeling to develop a better understanding of the interactions of physical and chemical processes on the formation and evolution of chemical sediments. Broadly, my research focuses on the mechanisms by which chemical sediments (carbonates, chert, BIF) formed because they are the basis for much of the geobiological record. In my free time, I enjoy running long distances on trails in the mountains, skiing, and curating my excessive collection of Patagonia jackets.
